One of the highlights for me this holiday season has been being part of the Cancer Kids & Christmas event back in my hometown. This big fundraising event was all organized by Travis Sparks who, himself, was threatened by cancer, and was then inspired to help others affected by this horrible disease, especially during the holiday season. Being in this hometown atmosphere and seeing people come together to help each other was so uplifting, and a reminder of how we all should strive to help others year-round! It was a humbling experience, and I am thankful.
I just wanted to send out a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/New Year message to you! I sang 'O Holy Night' last night at a Christmas Eve Service and realized that this one message should sum it up for all of us:
"Truly, he taught us to love one another. His law is love and his gospel is peace. Chains shall he break for the slave is our brother, and in his name all oppression shall cease."
Regardless of our faiths or any difference as all, peace and love to you today and every day. All of us, brothers and sisters of humanity, have more in common than not, just by being on this Earth together at the same time and experiencing the same human joys and struggles.
Back to some music...
